SUNDAY GATHERED WORSHIP

Sunday Wayside Drivers
Be a part of a monthly rotation to help a few of our local Newberg friends get a ride to and from our 5pm Sunday worship gathering.

Sound Team
Join the team to run sound on Sunday evenings on a month rotation. Free training available!

Music
Join in music at Wayside by sharing your musical gifts up front on Sunday! Lead your own group on a monthly or quarterly rotation or lend your skills to a pre-existing group.
We are in need of instrumentalists, in particular: bass, drums, guitar, and piano.

Italian Soda Team
The Italian Sodas Team serves italian sodas to our community on Sunday evenings from 4:30-5:05pm.
Regular or occasional help welcome!

Greeters
Welcome people at the door as we gather on Sunday evenings. Greet people and pass out the worship handouts.
Be available, as needed, to direct newcomers to the nursery, the restrooms, etc.

Clean Up
Help take down and store the sanctuary worship stations - the cross, candles, supplies, etc.

Do you have an idea for a group you’d like to lead? A hiking group? A WNBA Playoff watch group?

Spend time with children (babies to 3’s and/or pre-K to 5th grade) during our Sunday worship gatherings once a month.

youth
Connect with middle and high school students volunteering for weekly youth group and/or hangouts/activities. Regular or occasional help welcome!

college age
Sign up for opportunities to be to support our college aged young adults.

Older Adults Group
Join in the older adults group for quarterly events!
We are also looking for people willing to help plan and/or host events.

Hospitality Team
The Hospitality Team organizes and serves refreshments for church sponsored events. Your involvement can be for most events or every once in a while.
All ages welcome!

Christmas Eve Choir
Sign up if you would be interested in joining this year’s Christmas Eve choir. Kids are absolutely welcome, and being able to read music is NOT required!
Rehearsing will likely be after our Sunday gatherings, so if you love to sing, come join us for about 20 minutes each of those evenings and have fun singing some great Christmas music.

Adopt A Wayside Flower Bed
Have have green thumb? Take ownership and maintenance of a Wayside flowerbed.

Sewing Group
Whether you’re an experienced sewer or not, all skill levels are welcome to join us at our sewing parties!
We make drawstring bags that are used for Medical Team International kits, weighted blankets for the school district, and quilts for Mennonite global work.

Serve on the team that processes Wayside Reach Out Grants and awards funds to approved applicants.

Join the team that helps write and apply for grants on behalf of the Wayside community.

Giving Tree
Three times a year [Fall, Christmas, Easter] we use Giving Trees as a way to support local and global ministries. Join this team to help select and organize this outreach work.
